Social Studio Shop Workshop

If you follow me on any types of social media you probably know that I joined Social Studio Shop for one of their weekend workshops in May!

It was so exciting as it was my first workshop that I have ever attended catered towards bloggers or other types of entrepreneurs.  I was a touch nervous entering into the weekend as I wasn’t really sure what to expect.  But after two days and fourteen hours with Social Studio Shop, I was so thankful to have attended the workshop.

I think I’m the absolute worst at the social media side of things, as for years I never really cared what the platforms were doing, as long as I stayed in touch with my friends and family I was fine.  Obviously with starting a blog I knew I was going to have to change my tune.

And while the blog world seems to be a bit saturated right now, so is the blogging advice world.  So finding a company that offered help + tutorials wasn’t hard, but finding one that I felt comfortable with seemed to be a bit more of a challenge.

Enter Social Studio Shop.

I decided to go attend Social Studio’s workshop waaaaaaaay back in January because I listened to a free webinar from them and couldn’t believe all that I learned in a  f r e e  webinar.    (Also I’m extremely partial to anything Salt Lake City [wc_fa icon=”smile-o” margin_left=”” margin_right=””][/wc_fa] so it helped as that was one of the locations!)

Social Studio Shop forms all their lessons based around their motto –  inspire + connect + grow.  Which is exactly what I want for my tiny little corner of the internet.  And to have a company embody my own goals seemed like a match made in heaven.

Upon arriving to the workshop I was greeted by Jess who was unbelievably welcoming and surrounded by the most gorgeous florals provided by Flora + Fern.  From there Social Studio Shop pampered us with so much insight in the two days about the different social media platforms and also with decadent lunches provided by Blue Lemon – a local restuarant who has the most  a m a z i n g  lemonade that I could not stop drinking.

They even made setting goals an essential to success rather than the headache that I try to avoid.

But would I suggest it to others?

YES. Absolutely.

The beauty of this social media workshop is that it wasn’t solely dedicated to bloggers.

There were photographers, florists, and other entrepreneurs that all had unique experiences and views that meant for great discussions.  It was great to hear the other side of the coin with businesses that work with bloggers, as they expressed concerns or ideas that I often don’t see.  It was a humbling and eye opening experience.

The weekend workshop was a bit of investment for me.  Though, any money I’ve made from abp went right into my funding for affording the workshop and it’s a decision I would make again and again.  (Just FYI Social Studio completely understood the investment their workshops require and even offered a scholarship for one lucky attendee.  I always love when companies are understanding of their audience!)

If you have ever struggled with your blog or business and working in the social media world, Social Studio Shop is for you.  From truly investing in their customers, you + me,  to being passionate with their knowledge, I will always recommend them.
