Lately I’ve been all about travel around here. My schedule this summer got a little crazy with some back to back weekends away and I got a bit frustrated as I found myself missing more and more time spent away from home.
I normally love traveling and getting away, but Wyoming summers are kind of hard to beat. We have some of the cruelest and coldest winters around so I always feel as though the perfect summer days are it’s way of apologizing for putting us through such long brutal below freezing days.
So I am really excited to show you some gorgeous Wyoming views w i t h o u t a snowflake in site.
When my friend Megan mentioned the wildflowers were going crazy in the Snowy Mountain range it took us all of two days to plan a little excursion up there.
Looking back at these photos I honestly can’t stop smiling.
It’s true that these are probably the absolute best views and angles of Wyoming (not seen the 50+ mph winds we weather all year round), but it really was one those perfect Summer days. We started spotting open fields of wild flowers all along sides the roads and quickly found a turn off to roam around in.
For many who are lucky enough to make their way to Wyoming they typically skip right to the Tetons (understandably) but they don’t have to look too far off the road for gorgeous landscape that is so unique to our parts of the country. I just visited Pinedale, WY for the first time this year and the Wind River Mountain Range is s t u n n i n g, and the perfect reminder that every place has something unique to offer.
^^ Gorgeous Megan
^^ A cute shot for #campfossil

What are some of your favorite local spots that no one else knows to appreciate?
xo Kelsey
