Cheese + Wine Stylized Dinner

I was planning on sharing this post later this week, but I’m finding myself in the need for some inspiration and I have loved cruising these photos of our dinner party whenever I get the chance. So why not share them with you for a little midweek perk up as well!

This table set up was so fun as my friend, Megan, and I basically tag teamed the whole deal! Her and her husband created this beautifully stained table top, while I offered up my large patio + embarrassing amounts of white decor.  We visited our local flower store Poppy’s and Chalk + Cheese the day of and were amazed how it all came together.

Megan came up with the brilliant title for the night – Wine & Design.  So aside from endless amounts of bottles of wine, we pulled together a little art table complete with brushes and blank pots for the party favor succulents.

Looking back I really didn’t have to buy much new stuff for this dinner.  The table runner + art print + napkins were the only new things I invested in, though I plan on using them almost every day.  (Ok you caught me… I do not plan on using cloth napkins every day, but I love these simple ones so much I can’t wait to break them out again.)  I think rather than going into detail here, I’ll share another post with some tips and tricks for hosting a stylized dinner on a budget, but it really is completely doable for those with even the tightest of budgets.

I’m so happy to report that Megan and my first attempt at hosting + stylizing a dinner was a success.  We had a few hiccups along the way (invites and time of the year were our biggest whoops), which I find to be quite minor for those who are completely unpracticed with this sort of thing.  But I was really excited to finally put some faces to names for those local friends I mainly interacted with via social media.

Every time I collaborate with Megan, I’m more and more thankful for those local connections I’ve been able to make.
