Throughout all the up’s and down’s that have been going on for the past year, I’ve realized just how important the little things are. I’ve discovered it’s the little things that keep your feet on the ground and your heart strong. The big moments in life seem to be just that – BIG. But as large as they seem even more fleeting. It’s the little acts of kindness or small tugs at your heart strings that can make any day better.

So here are a few things that will make any heart lighter.

The Lost Kitchen – I dare you to not fall in love with Erin French’s story and her passion for creating meals that people will dream of. Her approach to cooking is entirely different than any other cooking show. And it leaves you with not only your stomach growling, but your heart full.

I just snagged her cookbook. It’s so pretty I have a feeling it will end up as a coffee table book more than an actual cookbook.

Bear-enting – Not sure what it is exactly about cute animal videos on the internet, but I swear every momma out there could relate to this bear and her cubs.

Treasuring your home – Ok it’s true I’m possibly half-mad from cleaning grout lines all week and takes only the mention of the holidays at home to make me teary eyed, but there is something about these custom hand-drawings from Annie that bring a smile to my face every time.

Darling letters – over the years I’ve become increasingly protective over what I allow to land in my inbox. (I mean truly there are only so many coupons a girl needs.). But one constant has always been Darling letters. No matter the occasion I feel as though they always know what is on my mind, but most importantly what’s on my heart.

Plantable cards – After discovering Seedlings cards last year at my local stationery shop, these are forever my go-to sympathy or celebration cards. The fact that you can plant the envelope and have wild flowers grow from it makes so much more than a card.
