Vintage art is definitely having it’s spotlight and I have to say I’m loving it! I’m often asked on Instagram where I get vintage-inspired pieces that are different than the typical retail prints you see in Big Box stores. Luckily, online print shops have really grown and expanded their range to include vintage art.

It’s in the details. Or that’s the saying anyways! It’s not a huge secret around here that I preferred remodeling a house over building one. There’s something about lived-in details that always feel cozier than new. Luckily, with the help of a few great vendors you can find hardware that looks as though it was there long before you lived in your home.

I feel as though the title of this post is a bit misleading. Because rolling up your sleeves and building your own house puts you squarely in a save category and not a splurge one. That being said I do feel like there were areas where we allocated our budget more to one side than the other. No matter where you are in the building process (dreaming, saving, framing) you’ll come up against your budget. It’s just the way construction works.

I’ve toyed around with different home posts for my blog.  And I was  r e a l l y  struggling. Every post I wrote I felt as if I trying to pretend that my space was ‘perfect’ or ‘#housegoals.’  When in fact it’s anything but.  There are certainly things I love about our Montana apartment […]

It’s been so long since I added to this series.  I certainly believe in being informed about what’s going on in the world, but let’s just be honest – this isn’t the website for hard hitting news.  And rather than always droning on and on about skincare bits (like pick a bottle already Kelsey 😉 […]

I feel as if you could use one word to sum up the homes in my life it would be: quirky.  My first home that I had through college was the definition of quirky.  It’s charming brick chimney and open closet design was often drowned out by the slanting floors or horribly placed light switches.  […]

Moving to a new city is no joke. I’m someone who thrives on routines and planning out my week ahead, so it definitely threw me for a loop.  And while finding a new gym, new friends and a new routine has been a bit unnerving, there has been very little struggle on finding good food.  […]

Ok.  Let’s just admit that sometimes less is hard.  It can be eye opening and life altering absolutely.  But it can also be really freaking hard.  Especially when you open your closet doors and yep.  The same old pants, sweater and shoes stare at you and dare you to find a combo that you haven’t […]

Fall is the time of cozy knits and pumpkin spice everything. The season where we can come up with endless excuses to have wine and cheese nights.  And where the ratio of time spent in my PJs gets dangerously close to 50/50 to real pants.  But possibly the best part of this season… giving. It’s […]

Can I just say what we are all thinking? How on earth is it a couple days away from October?  While half of us are jumping up in down in sweaters and screaming pumpkin spice, the other half are mourning Summer, it seems we can all at least agree on the fact that it got […]

I don’t think I ever planned on sharing a video for this space.  Videos are just one of those things I’ve steered clear of.  Photography is something that I latched on to pretty quickly and felt super natural with on day one. But video is something that has always baffled me. Still I was tired […]

It feels really good to focus on something non work related at the moment. I’ve been loving being busy and trying my hand at entrepreneurship, but I’m happily making time to write about clothing.  Odd? Maybe! But it feels good to think about how far my shopping habits have come compared to the unanswered emails […]
