I’m not going to lie to you… typing 2021 felt really good. While I think we can all agree last year brought tumultuous seasons no one could have ever predicted, I’ve been really careful to just assume that a new year will solve everything. (I mean a new decade certainly didn’t solve anything right?) Rather than wishing away all the stress, worry and heartbreak that 2020 brought, I’ve been trying to hold on to all the lessons, resilience and compassion it taught me and carry it into the new year. But again it did feel really good to write 2021.
We’ve been neck deep (and quite honestly over-our-heads deep) in building lately, but I’ve still found little things to enjoy this month.
Wanting: Bozeman mornings were a tad bit warmer.
Reading: what feels like every product catalog ever printed. #homebuilding
Watching: Bridgerton… who isn’t though?
Listening: to my new Chris Stapleton record. I just love him.
Hoping: to get my rebrand sorted out sooner rather than later.
Waiting: for our exterior lights to arrive!
Getting: excited to see all of our design plans come together.
Wishing: running a website wasn’t so complicated.
Working: on my own content calender – feels so refreshing!
Dreaming: of Christmas in our new home.
Munching: on everything from the SkinnyTaste cookbook.
Sipping: homemade matcha lattes.
Finishing: a couple of wedding details here and there.
Planning: our tile orders – aka triple checking our math!
Saving: so much home decor inspiration.
Looking: forward to our black countertops in our kitchen.
Wearing: this Free People sweater for the coldest of days.
Buying: an 8’x10′ rug when I don’t even have walls. Success.
Refusing: to be so stressed I forget to be grateful.
Organizing: all of our lights that we have ordered for the house.
Loving: Elisabeth’s weekly newsletter.
Bookmarking: these shoes from Dolce Vita.
I hope you’ve been able to find little things to celebrate at the beginning of the new year. Copy and paste the empty format to look back on all that the month brought you!
