Vintage art is definitely having it’s spotlight and I have to say I’m loving it! I’m often asked on Instagram where I get vintage-inspired pieces that are different than the typical retail prints you see in Big Box stores. Luckily, online print shops have really grown and expanded their range to include vintage art.

It’s in the details. Or that’s the saying anyways! It’s not a huge secret around here that I preferred remodeling a house over building one. There’s something about lived-in details that always feel cozier than new. Luckily, with the help of a few great vendors you can find hardware that looks as though it was there long before you lived in your home.

I feel as though the title of this post is a bit misleading. Because rolling up your sleeves and building your own house puts you squarely in a save category and not a splurge one. That being said I do feel like there were areas where we allocated our budget more to one side than the other. No matter where you are in the building process (dreaming, saving, framing) you’ll come up against your budget. It’s just the way construction works.

Every time I’m about to make the statement “I’m done with subscription boxes” I find another one I fall instantly for.  I recently purchased a jewelry based subscription box that I gushed about on Instagram stories and then Beauty Beyond Borders was dropped into my lap.  So it seemed as if my frustrations of subscription […]

I feel as though I’ve been a bit Montana biased around here lately.  Though after spending almost a week in Big Sky country I was certainly a bit starry eyed for the state.  For those who don’t have much of a Montana geography (don’t worry, I’m right there with you) Bozeman is a mere couple hours […]

As much as I love any excuse to curl up under an endless pile of blankets + hot tea (I have at least one cup every day no matter the temp out), Fall has never really been a season I look forward too much.  In Wyoming it’s simply the odd fourteen-ish days that aren’t hot nor […]

Well September came and went didn’t it? Mine certainly didn’t go smoothly as I was out in the field for work for three weeks on a very un-fun (is that a word??) project.  I was hoping for a bit of a smoother month as August was a bit unsettling as well – enter mid 20’s panic […]

A couple weeks ago I shared a fun Content Creators dinner and while I wanted to share every little thing I learned while hosting it, I didn’t really want to take away from the event itself. Whenever I’ve seen lovely stylized dinners surrounded by cheese and wine I’ve always just assumed they were too much hassle […]

Over the long Labor day weekend I was itching to get out and explore a bit more, but after all my travels this summer, my bank account seemed a bit shell shocked.  Luckily, my family owns a small cabin up near the the Colorado-Wyoming border and it seemed like the best idea to enjoy a weekend […]

*On occasion I’m given a product from my favorite brands for editorial compensation. I’ve partnered up with Jord to review their product. All opinions are my own and I genuinely enjoy these products. Thanks for supporting a balancing peach and the brands that make it possible! I sort of hate that I’m writing this post as […]

So often when I share travels on here I try to create a tutorial of places to go and things to see in a specific location.  But really traveling can be inspirational without a checklist of must see’s and do’s.  Plus, I don’t always have a numbered list in my head when I travel that would […]

A couple months back I finally pulled the trigger and purchased Mastin Labs presets.  They came highly suggested from my friend Megan, and since then I have had to actively force myself to step away from the computer and editing photos.   Mastin Labs built their presets with the intent to emulate film. The company […]
