Vintage art is definitely having it’s spotlight and I have to say I’m loving it! I’m often asked on Instagram where I get vintage-inspired pieces that are different than the typical retail prints you see in Big Box stores. Luckily, online print shops have really grown and expanded their range to include vintage art.

It’s in the details. Or that’s the saying anyways! It’s not a huge secret around here that I preferred remodeling a house over building one. There’s something about lived-in details that always feel cozier than new. Luckily, with the help of a few great vendors you can find hardware that looks as though it was there long before you lived in your home.

I feel as though the title of this post is a bit misleading. Because rolling up your sleeves and building your own house puts you squarely in a save category and not a splurge one. That being said I do feel like there were areas where we allocated our budget more to one side than the other. No matter where you are in the building process (dreaming, saving, framing) you’ll come up against your budget. It’s just the way construction works.

I’m sure you have seen this post before. Where someone ditches the whole “Goal’s To Achieve in 365 Days” and sticks to one word. I’ve kinda always rolled my eyes at them – it seemed like a lot of pressure for one word and seemed like an easy cop out of making an actual to […]

If you are reading this it means my tireless planning and overthinking over the past months have finally produced something of worth- A Balancing Peach. A blog I originally wanted to pinpoint as a beauty, fashion or creative blog, but decided to simply make it a “life” blog. Or a “my life” blog. Why? O goodness […]
