Vintage art is definitely having it’s spotlight and I have to say I’m loving it! I’m often asked on Instagram where I get vintage-inspired pieces that are different than the typical retail prints you see in Big Box stores. Luckily, online print shops have really grown and expanded their range to include vintage art.

It’s in the details. Or that’s the saying anyways! It’s not a huge secret around here that I preferred remodeling a house over building one. There’s something about lived-in details that always feel cozier than new. Luckily, with the help of a few great vendors you can find hardware that looks as though it was there long before you lived in your home.

I feel as though the title of this post is a bit misleading. Because rolling up your sleeves and building your own house puts you squarely in a save category and not a splurge one. That being said I do feel like there were areas where we allocated our budget more to one side than the other. No matter where you are in the building process (dreaming, saving, framing) you’ll come up against your budget. It’s just the way construction works.

My mind and my closet are prepped and ready for the warmer weather. The only problem is that Bozeman is not. Our feet of snow was dangerously close to melting off, but we already got some fresh snow just yesterday. Meaning that I was starting to yo-yo pretty hard with my wardrobe. In fact it […]

Let me just start by saying that Glacier National Park isn’t made for a weekend. The National Park is filled with valleys, peaks and lakes that is made for much than a weekend, and this Glacier National Park travel guide is all too short for the stunning park. Still with a photo project due quickly […]

If there is one thing I know, it’s living in small spaces. My first home had super small (albeit charming) living spaces and was nothing less than quirky. Though it taught me that the right decor can make a small house feel big. You’ll need a bit more time and patience with decorating a small […]

There are lots of thing that were affected with my big move to Montana, but I think it was my sleep habits that took the hardest hit. If there is one thing everyone can agree on, it’s that sleep is non negotiable. However, it always seems to be the one thing I try to sneak by […]

I really, really wish I could move on to spring based posts. Unfortunately though I seem to be stuck in a continuous snow globe (aka Montana!) Weather complaints aside, I’ve always been lucky having healthy + thick hair the majority of my life. But with my last salon visit my stylist was a bit concerned […]

I’ve always brushed off closet capsules as being to rigid and a bit unfair (I know most people can’t justify ten dresses – but I certainly can!), so I’ve tried to focus on well loved wardrobe pieces. If I use it, it stays. No other rule than that. Buuuuut this year I was tempted to […]

Hurray! This post is my first ‘5 Good Things’ of 2018. I’m not sure if I’ve ever believed in January blues more than I have this year. Those first few weeks of January were rough for me. Nothing even went necessarily wrong, I just felt so ‘blah‘ and every idea I had seemed to just […]

This year I sort of let myself off the hook. And rather than giving myself another word and driving every day towards it, I let myself dream a bit more. Things that I’ve looking forward to or new things to try. (I’m thinking I’ll try fish tacos out in Charleston in March.) But there are […]

This is a topic I’ve been relatively dead quiet about in my blog world. But in the fall of 2017 I got my eyebrows microbladed! It was one of those things I had on my wishlist as soon as I had heard about the technique. While I have always liked the shape of my brows, […]

Changing up an overstuffed wardrobe can be a bit intimidating. Especially when you toss out all that extra, only to find much emptier space staring back at you. And it gets youwondering how on earth you aren’t going to get bored with it or at least stretch it out over the week. Or that’s what […]
